Stella the Star was developed in the Fall of 2022 during my senior year at RISD. This picture book proposal was part of my final for the children's book course I was taking called Picture and Word, taught by Judy Sue Goodwin Sturges and April Prince.
"Despite training in the best dance academy in the galaxy, Stella's rhythm is rocky and her pirouettes are the pits. After learning about the highly-anticipated Meteor Shower recital, Stella wants to BE a star. Will she be able to prepare a performance of the lightyear and achieve her dream?"
